We help with prescriptions drop off/pick up, dog walking or essential shopping up to 10 items (cash paid on delivery). If you’d like to arrange a shopping request please provide more details about what you need, phone, address, and we’ll be in touch.
If you are feeling low or anxious during this time we also offer telephone support and a friendly ear to chat to to reduce the loneliness of isolation.
Connecting you with local businesses
There are local businesses in Spalding who might be able to deliver shopping to you even if there are no delivery slots for any main supermarkets.
Care packages for the most vulnerable
We are also in the process of launching care packages donated by local Spalding businesses and in partnership with the Pinchbeck Parish Council and SH District Councillors Jack McLean & Robert Gibson.
We are grateful for the support and donations from Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, A.H. Worth, Spar, Greenyard Fresh, Greencore, Welland Print, Chris Eley Produce, Nationwide Produce, Woodhead Brothers Abbatoir, Tesco and more.
If you would like to nominate a family member, neighbour, friend or even yourself to receive a weekly care package please complete this form online to provide the full information we need in order to assess your referral. The information you provide will be treated in strictest confidence and fully removed once this crises is over.
Fruit4Kids and Fruit4Schools
Recently we have been able to secure large donations of fruit (Greenyard Fresh, Ripe Now, Worldwide Fruit, AM Fresh) so we have started weekly Fruit4Schools deliveries to primary schools and pre-schools that are still open in order to provide care for children of keyworkers.
This scheme was then expanded to provide free weekly fruit parcels for vulnerable low-income families in the area – those who qualify for Free School Meals. Where donations are available we also supplement Fruit4Kids with vegetables, bread or other supplies. We are grateful to Smart Cabs Spalding for assisting with deliveries of these to 100+ local families.
Any surplus fruit from these schemes is delivered to local care homes, hospitals and ambulance services, and areas with the self-isolating elderly residents by our committed volunteers.
If you’d like to nominate someone to receive free fruit & veg parcels please complete the form below:
